Meet your Instructors:
Melanie Williams

Melanie’s yoga journey began as a way to stay active, but it quickly became a source of grounding, clarity, and balance—something she now loves sharing with her students. As the Executive Director of a nonprofit, she understands what it means to carry responsibility, navigate stress, and still try to care for your own well‑being. Yoga became the space where she could breathe again, and her mission is to offer that same space to others.
Encouraged by her teacher, Melanie earned her A.C.E. certification and discovered that teaching yoga is really about people. Her classes are designed to meet students exactly where they are, offering support, options, and a welcoming environment where every body feels seen and valued. Whether someone is brand new or deeply experienced, she aims to help each student feel grounded, capable, and connected.
Over the years, Melanie has taught in many settings, eventually creating her dream space—a warm, calming sanctuary where students can move, rest, and reconnect with themselves. Her retreats have become an extension of that intention, bringing people together from across the U.S., Canada, and beyond for experiences centered on restoration, community, and genuine connection.
Today, Melanie teaches with gratitude and curiosity, offering classes and retreats that help students find balance—professionally, personally, and within themselves—one breath at a time.

Kathleen Sawfer

As a Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and (almost certified) Nutrition
Coach, I love all aspects of wellness and helping others live their best, longest lives. I
began practicing yoga as a compliment to strength training and endurance running. I
knew the importance of flexibility to prevent injury and yoga was more fun than static
stretching. As my commitment to physical fitness grew, I embraced my yoga practice
for improving balance, stability and postural alignment. As a result, I developed
confidence and trust in my physical abilities; I stood taller, I could move more gracefully,
I could easily recover from a misstep. But then, as I encountered the ups and downs of
a life fully lived, Yoga became a practice that brought connection to my SELF. Not in the
spiritual sense that is sometimes associated with yoga, but a quieting of thoughts
allowing me to find calm in my mind and transferring that stillness and peace to my
body. I found I could utilize my breath within the Asanas to release tension that
accumulates across our muscles and joints. As a result, not only were my cortisol
levels reduced, but I could take a break from rapid fire thoughts and anxiety- all while
still getting a great workout.
My goal is to share that with you- Yoga as a way to challenge you physically as well as
creating stillness to bring focus and peace to your mind. Namaste
